Nostos is excited to welcome mentors Meg LeFauve and Joe Forte to our special edition April mini-retreat, in collaboration with Italy’s Adler Entertainment and 39Films, as they team up on an innovative IP incubator called Writing Box that will bring together Italian and global screenwriters with the goal of germinating feature films, TV series and docs for the international market.
Writing Box will officially kick off with its first residency set to take place April 22-27 in Tuscany in collaboration with Nostos Screenwriting Retreats and with LeFauve and Forte on hand.
Meg LeFauve and Joe Forte have been partners for over 30 years, both in life and in the film industry. They have worked for some of the biggest studios in Hollywood including Pixar, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Netflix, Fox and Sony — and with legendary stars as Jodie Foster and Harrison Ford.
Recently coming together as a writing team, Forte and LeFauve have an overall deal at Netflix Films to write and direct. Prior to this deal they wrote as a team for Sony, MGM Amazon and are developing an original tv series, GIRL IN A BOX, for A&E Studios.
LeFauve was nominated for an Academy Award for co-writing Pixar’s INSIDE OUT. Her other writing credits include, INSIDE OUT 2, CAPTAIN MARVEL, THE GOOD DINOSAUR and MY FATHER’S DRAGON. Forte’s credits include the Harrison Ford thriller FIREWALL and he created and directed the documentary film, THE MAN WHO SAVED BEN HUR, which is streaming on Amazon.
